I Saw The Comments Calling Me Evil And Realized I Was Pregnant Chapter 03

At ten in the morning, someone knocked on the door.

Thinking Nash had returned, I rushed over and threw it open.

A woman stood outside.

She was dressed in current-season haute couture, holding a luxury bag, and her makeup was flawless down to the last strand of hair.

Standing at the doorway of our cheap rental, she looked completely out of place against the dilapidated surroundings, like a rare orchid stuffed into a trash can.

She scanned me from head to toe, her eyes flashing with unhidden contempt, “So you’re Khloe Warren?”

[She’s here, she’s here! The FL, Lilith!]

[This aura completely crushes the villainess.]

[It’s over for the villainess now.]

Before I could say anything, she walked straight into the apartment, glanced around the cramped living room, and gave a slight downturn of her lips.

“I’m Lilith, Nash’s fiancée.” She turned around to look at me, her voice completely flat, “He only stayed with you because he lost his memory. Now that his memories are coming back, it’s time for him to return home.”

I gripped the doorknob tight. “Why should I believe you?”

She pulled out her phone and swiped to a photo.

It was a picture of Nash standing next to an older man, with a massive mansion as the background.

The Nash in the photo was wearing a tailored suit, possessing an entirely different aura from the man I knew-noble, cold, and looking like a completely different person.

“This is a photo of him and his grandfather.” Lilith slid her phone back into her bag, “His real identity is the only son of the Rothschild family, the sole heir to the entire Rothschild Group. You’re just a nurse. Do you really think you’re in his league?”

Every single word pierced through my heart like a needle.

Because from the very beginning, this entire relationship had been built on a lie.

But hearing it thrown directly in my face still made me want to burst into tears.

“He… got his memory back?” My voice shook.

“Yes,” Lilith sneered, “The treatment last night went perfectly. He is going to remember everything. Do you honestly think he’ll still want you once he remembers who he actually is?”

I bit my lip and stayed silent.

Lilith glanced around the apartment again, her voice full of sarcasm, “You actually let him live in a dump like this? You made him do manual labor to support you?”

“Miss Warren, not only are you not in his league, but you also forced him to suffer so much. If you have even a shred of decency left, you should disappear on your own.” She held out a flight ticket, “The flight leaves this afternoon. Go wherever you want, just don’t come back.”

I didn’t take it.

Lilith tossed the ticket onto the table, “Miss Warren, you took care of Nash for six months, so I’m thanking you on behalf of the Rothschild family. But it’s time to wake up from this dream.”

She stepped closer to me, lowering her voice, “Don’t hold on to false hope. Once his memory is fully restored, the first thing he’s going to investigate is your fifty-thousand-dollar lie. You know exactly what you did.”

My entire body went rigid.

“Just leave. I’ll give you fifty thousand dollars, which is more than enough for you to squander for a while.”

I grabbed my phone and dialed Nash’s number.

No answer.

I called again, but it still didn’t go through.

I tried several times in a row, but every single call went unanswered.

[The ML regained his memory, so he doesn’t want to pick up her calls.]

[He’s about to enter into a marriage alliance. Why would he still bother with the villainess? She brought this on herself.]

[To be honest, fifty thousand dollars is a lot. Just take the money and leave. It’s a much better ending than what happened to her in the original story.]

That last bit of hope was shattered.

I suddenly laughed, looking straight at Lilith, “You think fifty thousand dollars is enough to get rid of me?”

“How much do you want?” Lilith narrowed her eyes.

My mind raced. Even if I had to leave, I needed to save enough money for the baby.

“Fifty million,” I said.

“Are you insane?”

“Then we have nothing to talk about.” I turned around, pretending to close the door. “I’ve been with Nash for so long. I don’t believe he would just turn his back on me. I’ll cling to him and make a scene. What are you going to do about it?”

Lilith’s face turned completely pale, the veins on her hand bulging against the strap of her bag.

After a long silence, she grit her teeth, “Thirty million. That’s my absolute limit.”

“Deal.”

I answered instantly, though my heart was pounding wildly inside. I had never seen that much money in my life.

The moment the wire transfer cleared, Lilith said coldly, “The flight is at three this afternoon. If you play games with me, I promise your life will become a living hell.”

She walked out.

I stared at my phone screen, but Nash’s number was still unreachable.

Tears dropped onto the glass one by one.

He had regained his memory, and he must absolutely hate me now.

I sniffled, wiped the tears away, and began packing my bags.

I blocked Nash across every single communication platform.

Dragging my suitcase, I walked out of the rental apartment.

As I passed the fruit stand downstairs, the owner called out to me, “Khloe! Your boyfriend pre-ordered a durian yesterday and said he’d pick it up today. Do you want to take it with you?”

My footsteps paused, and I shook my head, “No need, just cancel it.”

I cried the entire way to the airport in the back of the taxi.

The driver glanced at me through the rearview mirror several times, looking like he wanted to speak but stopped himself.

Once I arrived at the airport, I checked in and got my boarding pass.

Wiping my face, I dragged my suitcase toward the security checkpoint.

Just as I handed over my boarding pass and prepared to walk through the gate, the airport intercom suddenly blared, “Attention please, all flights have been temporarily grounded. This is an urgent paging announcement.”

“Ms. Khloe Warren, please proceed immediately to Gate 1 upon hearing this announcement…”
