The Alpha Didn’t Repent Until I Was Gone Chapter 01
I got pregnant with my Alpha husband’s child four times. Each time, I waited and hoped for the baby to be born.
But my husband and my brother forced me to drink that potion again, killing the child growing inside me.
After the fifth forced loss, my heart finally went cold.
“System, I want to go home.”

……
I had carried my Alpha husband’s child four times.
Four times, I waited for our baby.
Four times, I lost everything.
This was the fifth time.
I protected this pregnancy like it was my last chance to breathe. I could feel the little wolf moving inside me. Strong. Alive. Full of fight.
I kept telling myself this baby would make it.
Then my brother rushed back to the pack overnight.
I thought he came back to protect me and my child.
I was wrong.
Because my half-sister, Eloise, was pregnant too.
The next morning, my brother walked in carrying a bowl of black potion meant to end my pregnancy.
His voice was soft. Gentle, even.
“Olivia, if you give the Alpha his first child before Eloise does, she won’t be able to bear it.”
“You’ve been loved your whole life. Let her have this one.”
“You’re healthy. Lose this baby, and you can have another later.”
My whole body shook with rage. With tears in my eyes, I smashed the bowl and fought to protect the little wolf inside me with everything I had.
A few days later, blood soaked through my dress. My stomach cramped so hard I could barely breathe. And just like that, my fifth baby was gone.
I didn’t know what happened.
I only knew the little wolf who used to kick so hard inside me had gone still.
Still, I dragged myself to find Sebastian.
I thought maybe he’d save me.
Instead, in the castle hallway, I overheard him talking to my brother.
“We wronged Olivia. All five pups died because of us, and she still thinks it was an accident.”
“Once Eloise gives birth safely and the child is raised properly, everything will settle down.”
Then Sebastian said, guilt creeping into his voice, “When the time comes, I’ll give Olivia ten children.”
My vision shook.
So that was it.
Just because Eloise had a harder childhood than I did, he thought she deserved everything.
Even if the price was my five dead children.
That was the moment I finally got it.
Every piece of misery in my life had been handed to me by the two men closest to me.
I stared at the snow outside the castle window and whispered, “System, take me home.”
The System’s cold voice answered in my head.
[Exit request approved. Automatic departure in three days.]
……
Three days.
That was all I had left.
I turned and started walking back.
Then footsteps came up fast behind me.
Sebastian Ravencroft.
The future Alpha every wolf pack in North America had their eyes on.
The only heir to the Ravencroft Pack.
The second he saw how pale I was from blood loss, panic flashed across his face.
He rushed over and wrapped his heavy black cloak around me, the Ravencroft crest stitched across it.
“Olivia, it’s freezing out. Why are you standing here?”
His voice was still gentle. Still warm.
Like he hadn’t just buried five of our children.
“You’re weak right now.”
I shoved his hand away.
Then I looked him dead in the eye.
“Did you kill this baby too?”
“How could I?” he said fast. “That’s my child too.”
But the second I spoke again, all the softness left his face.
“I heard everything. You and my brother killed all five of my babies just to make Eloise happy.”
This time, Sebastian didn’t look away.
His voice went cold.
“Olivia, you’ve had over twenty good years. Can’t you stand being wronged a few times?”
“Eloise spent twenty years alone outside the pack. She finally came back, and she loves me with all her heart. I won’t fail her.”
“I need her child to be my first child. That child needs the best resources in the pack.”
A bitter laugh slipped out of me.
What a devoted man.
Then what was I?
What were my babies?
Tears came so hard I couldn’t stop them.
“Five children, Sebastian. Five.”
“You killed your own children. You watched me cry myself apart for them again and again. Didn’t that hurt you at all?”
“They were your children too!”
“That’s enough.”
He used the Alpha Voice.
That crushing authority slammed straight into my soul, like an invisible hand closing around my throat.
I couldn’t speak. I dropped to my knees, shaking all over.
“Everything I have done is not yours to question,” he said coldly. “You are still young. We have plenty of time to have more children.”
Then my brother, Julian Kessick, came down the hallway.
He looked at my tear-streaked face and frowned like I was the one causing trouble.
“Olivia, what are you doing now?”
“Where did that sweet little girl go? How did you turn into someone this ugly?”
“Eloise just wants her child to have the best. Can’t you even give her that?”
I stared at them.
One was my fated mate.
One was my brother by blood.
And now they stood shoulder to shoulder, tearing me down for another woman.
My hands shook as I pulled Sebastian’s cloak off my shoulders and let it fall to the floor.
Then I turned and walked back toward the west wing.
Three days.
In three days, I’d be gone.
Gone from this freezing castle.
Gone from all of them.
I thought that day had already shown me the worst they had to offer.
I was wrong.
Something even crueler was waiting for me.
