When their mate turned away Chapter 01

My sister and I were reborn on the blizzard gathering day of the Aetheris Pack.

In our past life, we spent ten years raising two rogue Alpha beggars into the most powerful wolf kings of the pack.

Their mate marks were locked onto us, our pheromone compatibility at one hundred percent, waiting only for the permanent bonding ritual to make us the pack’s most honored Luna.

Then Mia Bennett appeared, and everything fell apart.

She had tossed them two pieces of dried meat once when they were begging, and that became the greatest debt they swore to repay.

Today was the day we’d agreed to hold our permanent bonding ritual.

We waited all night outside the pack’s sacred temple in the blizzard.

They broke their promise and took Mia Bennett to the Moonlit Grove instead.

As my vision blurred from the cold, memories of being abandoned, tortured, and killed in my past life flooded back.

I turned softly to Maya, who shivered beside me with unstable pheromones.

“Let’s give up.”

“We’re the alpha’s daughters, born to be Luna. We don’t have to beg anyone.”

Maya’s arm still bore an arrow wound, her pheromones on the edge of collapsing from hurt and heartbreak.

In her past life, Jason Cole had seen her injured but ignored her, only picking up a lost earring for Mia Bennett.

She forced a bitter smile, the last light in her eyes dying.

“I’ll do whatever you say.”

The next day, the whole pack was stunned.

The two omega princesses who’d once chased the kings relentlessly stormed the Moonwolf Hall and spent a fortune.

Warm scent filled the room, soft music playing.

Maya and I raised our cups together and announced clearly, “We’ll take all ten of these new boys.”

At our promise, the handler’s face split into a greedy grin.

The ten handsome foreign Alphas knelt in unison, thanking us softly, their gentle looks nothing like the cold, oppressive dominance of the two kings.

Before we could leave with them, the door was kicked open violently.

Bitter blizzard wind roared in, carrying the overwhelming pressure of top‑tier Alphas, chasing away the warm scent in an instant.

Two tall, powerful figures stood in the snow, their aura terrifyingly dark.

Derek Reed stepped forward, brushing snow off his black wolf‑patterned robe.

His usually calm eyes turned ice‑cold on me.

“I was delayed yesterday. You’ve humiliated yourself coming to a place like this.”

Jason Cole strode in and grabbed Maya’s wrist so hard he nearly crushed her bones.

“You’re disgracing the pack. Now come home with me.”

A sharp twist in my chest wasn’t sadness, but cold, reborn disgust.

Maya couldn’t hold back anymore, tearing her arm away with red eyes.

“You call this disgrace? You left your fated mate in a blizzard for another omega!”

“You knew I was shot, my pheromones collapsing, and you didn’t even look at me. Is that not disgraceful?”

Her eyes were empty and hopeless, but Jason Cole only lifted his hand coldly and struck her unconscious.

“Let go of Maya!”

I lunged to stop him, but a strong hand clamped down on the back of my neck.

Alpha pheromone suppression crashed over me, and everything went black.

When I woke, we were locked in the wolf jail.

Maya had woken before me but lay weak on a soft cot, drained of strength.

Beside her stood Mia Bennett, the pack doctor’s illegitimate daughter, crying and looking delicate.

“Princess, I didn’t know you and your sister had a bonding ritual planned. You shouldn’t hurt yourself over this…”

She held out a scalding bowl of medicine toward Maya’s lips.

The bowl steamed, mixed with messy low‑tier omega pheromones—clearly malicious.

Maya lifted her hand to block it, and the bowl crashed to the floor.

Mia Bennett let out a sharp scream.

“What’s wrong?”

Two cold voices snapped at once. Derek Reed and Jason Cole burst in, their faces tight with tension.

Derek Reed spotted the faint red mark on Mia Bennett’s hand and immediately ordered someone to bring burn cream, his concern obvious.

Jason Cole roughly dragged Maya off the cot and shoved her out into the snow.

“Mia burned her hands making this for you, and you’re ungrateful.”

“Kneel there until you apologize.”

My heart jolted, and I jumped off the cot barefoot.

“Jason Cole, she’s a legitimate princess of the Aetheris Pack, born to be Luna. You dare punish a future Luna?”

I reached to help Maya, but my legs gave out, and I fell into the snow too.

The cold seared through my clothes to my bones.

Derek Reed, who’d once fussed over even a tiny scratch on my finger, didn’t glance at me.

He only knelt carefully, applying cream to Mia Bennett, his touch painfully gentle.

Jason Cole sneered, his pheromones slamming into us wildly, arrogant and cruel.

“I rule this pack’s warriors. The princesses misbehave, and I’ll discipline them. Who dares object?”

He waved a hand, and two warriors pinned Maya and me to the ground, refusing to let us rise.

Maya trembled with rage, tears pouring down her face.

Couldn’t he see the medicine was hot enough to burn an omega’s throat, laced with pheromone‑disrupting powder?

I opened my mouth to demand answers.

Derek Reed’s cold, unfeeling voice cut through the room.

“Mia is gentle and kind, and you’ve ruined her reputation with your foolishness.”

“If you won’t repent, kneel outside until the pack forgets this.”
