Erasing Alpha’s Memories and Love Chapter 02

Erasing Alpha’s Memories and Love Chapter 02 (Continue)

Blackrose Pack Hospital.

This was the place where Nathan and I first met.

Three years ago, I was admitted here alone, suffering from a heart condition.

Nathan was my attending surgeon.

He took such good care of me that I fell for him before I even knew it.

At the time, seeing him care so much for Kate, I naively thought it was out of compassion.

But now that I realized I was just a stand-in… everything changed.

“Luna, are you sure you want to terminate the pregnancy? Does Alpha know this?”

Nathan’s colleague looked genuinely concerned.

I hesitated. After all, the child was innocent.

Then my phone buzzed.

A message from Nathan: [Scarlet, I won’t be coming back today. Kate’s in severe pain.]

I turned off my phone and looked at the doctor.

“He doesn’t need to know. We’re done. Let’s proceed with the procedure.”

The doctor looked conflicted, tapped his phone twice, then set it down and tried to reason with me.

“Luna… did you have a fight with Alpha? Calm down first. A termination isn’t trivial—don’t make a decision you’ll regret in the heat of the moment. I’ve already messaged him; maybe you two can discuss it.”

Before he finished speaking, my phone rang.

Nathan was calling.

I hung up immediately and blocked his number.

Messages kept pouring in:

[Scarlet, pick up!]

[Scarlet, you’re pregnant?]

[Don’t abort—let’s have this child.]

[Scarlet, are you angry? Don’t be. I’ll come find you.]

The constant barrage made me nauseous.

I turned to the doctor one last time. “So… will you perform the surgery or not?”

He shook his head. “I’ve been friends with Alpha for years. I can’t hurt his child.”

I grabbed my bag and left, heading to another hospital. Before I went, I filed a complaint against the first doctor.

By the time I arrived at the second hospital, it was evening. Surgery couldn’t be done immediately, so I had to be admitted and wait until the next day.

My phone wouldn’t stop buzzing.

Nathan and my ten-year friend, Ryan Carter, sent countless messages asking where I was.

I replied to Ryan but ignored Nathan.

When Ryan arrived, his panic was obvious the moment he saw me, his eyes bloodshot.

“Nathan treated you badly, didn’t he, Scarlet?”

“Are you breaking up with him? Let me take care of you.”

“I’ll go kill Nathan!!”

Ryan clenched his fists and started toward the door, but I grabbed his hand, trying to calm him.

“Relax. People like him aren’t worth it. I’ll go to Paris in three days. Before I leave, I’ll erase every memory of him and end things completely.”

Ryan opened his mouth to say more, but I was too exhausted to listen. I curled up under the blankets and fell into a deep sleep.

I had no idea how long I slept.

A sudden chill made me shiver awake.

I opened my eyes to see Nathan standing at my bedside, drenched and trembling.

His face was haggard, but he forced a smile worse than grimace. “Scarlet… I’ve been looking for you all night. Finally found you.”

Rain poured outside. Nathan was soaked through. Maybe he really had searched for me all night.

But what was the point? It was too little, too late.

“Scarlet… how are you? Is the baby still…?”

Hope gleamed in his eyes, a trace of desperate optimism.

The child was still there—but I refused to let Nathan feel relieved. So I immediately burst his bubble. “I’m in the hospital, Nathan. Do you really think it’s still there?”

Nathan looked visibly helpless, murmuring in self-comfort, “It’s okay. It’s okay. Get your body well, and there’ll be another child.”

I stared at him, speaking deliberately, each word sharp. “There will be… but it won’t be yours. Nathan… we’re over.”

He froze. “Scarlet… you’re joking, right? You love me. You wouldn’t break up with me.”

I didn’t know how he could be so sure about that.

I was about to shatter it when the door opened.

Kate stepped in, also dripping wet, carrying a takeout box.
