I Picked Up a College Guy, Then My Mafia Ex Caught Me Chapter 05

“Was that him? Does he know he’s the other man?” Dominic’s voice was ice. The smell of whiskey clung to him.

I met his dark, brooding eyes, and felt that familiar prickle of being watched by something cold and predatory.

Dominic was the stepson of the Blackwood patriarch. A brutal childhood had carved him into something sharp, bitter, and utterly relentless.

Once he set his sights on something, it never escaped.

“None of your business,” I said. “Dominic, what’s the point of this? Just divorce me. I’ll take nothing. Have your lawyer draft the papers and send them over.”

I tried to walk past him, feigning calm. I didn’t get far.

His hand clamped around my arm, and he pulled me into the study without a word. The lock clicked shut.

He lifted me onto the desk. I struggled. He stepped between my legs, pinning me in place.

The position was too intimate. My whole body went rigid.

Something felt different about him tonight.

Before, his eyes had always been fixed on Victoria Hayes, and he had barely tolerated touching me.

His face, sharp and almost too perfect, leaned in close. “Ella Morrison, you wish. So I can let you go run off with some other man?”

I glared at him. Before I could snap back, he bit down.

His hand gripped the back of my head, holding me still. The kiss was deep, relentless.

I froze, too stunned to fight. Was he drunk? Kissing me?

I whimpered and bit his lip. He didn’t pull away. Instead, he grabbed my waist and pulled me flush against him.

His body was hot, solid. I gasped and tried to escape.

He worked his tie loose with maddening slowness and wrapped it around my wrists. His dark eyes tracked my struggle like I was prey caught in a snare.

“Ella Morrison. Cheating on me? Are you ready to pay the price?”
