She Stole My Pain, So I Took Her to Antarctica Chapter 05
Logan sped back at full speed.
The second he thought of the way his friends had looked at me, humiliation burned through him.
When the building access panel showed VISITOR NOT AUTHORIZED, his anger hit its peak.
He glared at the screen, eyes bloodshot.
“Get your manager. Is this how you treat residents’ guests?”
He snapped at the security guard without even looking at him properly.
These security guards were paid to serve people like him. And now they dared to block him?
The apartment manager arrived soon after, wearing a professional smile.
“Mr. Reed, your access has been revoked by the homeowner. You’re no longer on the approved guest list, so you’ll need to leave.”
Her smile never changed.
Somehow, that made Logan want to punch her.
When he saw the security guard raise his phone, he forced himself to hold back.
The anger inside him burned hotter.
Erin really did not know what was good for her.
Hadn’t he only taught her a small lesson?
Besides, he had his reasons.
Vivian had liked him since childhood. She had been adopted by the Reed family from a remote town. Of course she was sensitive.
If he rejected her openly, wouldn’t that crush her completely?
The Reeds had always treated Vivian as a child who needed special care. That was why they had never been fully satisfied with Erin, Logan’s girlfriend.
But those were small things.
If Erin had been nicer to the Reeds, wouldn’t those problems have faded over time?
But no. Erin was too spoiled.
She suffered one tiny grievance and cut contact with the Reeds and Vivian.
Women like her could not be indulged too much.
After they got engaged or married, he would have to take control of her assets first.
Only then would Erin learn to behave.
Logan drove away.
At the entrance to the parking garage, he was stopped again. His car had been reclassified as a visitor’s vehicle.
Furious, he took out his phone to pay.
Then he discovered that the authorized-user card linked to my account had been canceled.
“Erin, there’s a limit to this tantrum!”
Logan finally lost control and yelled inside the car.
With nowhere else to go, he returned to the Reed family home.
The moment he stepped inside, he heard Vivian screaming in her room, furious and near hysterics.
“Erin! Are you insane? I was only playing around with you! Did you really have to take it this far?”
“Just wait! I’ll make Logan deal with you!”
“You’re just the woman Logan threw away. What gives you the right to act so arrogant?”
On the other end of the video, I was in a very good mood.
I calmly watched her fall apart.
Logan rushed to the screen. First, he pulled Vivian into his arms and soothed her like she was something precious.
Then he looked at me through the screen, his eyes dark.
His gaze seemed to say, “This is what happens when you act out.”
His tone was just as condescending.
“Erin, you’re being dramatic again. I only kept you in the basement for a short while. How dare you run away? Do you even respect me at all?”
“Come back right now and apologize to Vivian face-to-face.”
“Then put the apartment and your accounts under my management. Do that, and maybe I’ll forgive you.”
Then he sneered at me.
I almost laughed out loud.
Even now, he thought I was just throwing a fit.
“Logan,” I said, “maybe you should look at yourself first.”
He frowned.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean look at what you’ve become. The fact that I haven’t thrown up yet is already restraint.”
To be fair, Logan really was handsome.
That was why I had fallen for him at first sight and pursued him first.
But after everything that had happened, no face, no matter how handsome, could make him anything but disgusting to me.
