The Fiancé’s Romantic Wedding Plan Was for My Best Friend Chapter 04

Back home, I packed all of Grayson’s things and had them shipped to his apartment.

Then I compiled every abusive message and post about me and handed the list to my lawyer to sue.

In the following days, I buried myself in work, grinding until I dropped.

I thought if I ignored it, my life would stabilize.

But within three days, a bigger storm hit online.

Someone anonymously leaked that I’d been promiscuous in college. Multiple abortions. A regular at the

gynecology ward.

The photo showed me being wheeled into surgery.

The comments were merciless. I was a homewrecker. A used-up slut.

Eloise had already posted her wedding photos with Grayson. The star-crossed high school sweethearts were

finally together.

Me? Just a discarded woman everyone loved to hate.

Reading those comments, I shook with rage.

A knock came at my desk.

My boss stood there. “Odette, your promotion was on track, but it just hit a wall.”

She hesitated. “Talk to Grayson. Rumor has it he’s not pleased with you.”

The Harper family were shareholders. They had veto power over promotions.

Rage coiled in my chest, but I nodded.

That afternoon, I met Grayson for coffee.

He arrived half an hour late.

“Sorry, I was helping Eloise pick her wedding dress. With the date so tight, we’ve been running nonstop…”

I cut him off. “Did you block my promotion? Why?”

Grayson paused, then admitted it. “You’re Eloise’s best friend. She wants you there to witness her happiness.”

My voice almost cracked. “That’s it?”

Grayson shrugged.

That nonchalance lit the fuse.

I took a deep breath. “You destroyed my reputation. Threatened my career. Now you expect me to bless you

with open arms?”

“Why should I let you walk all over me?!”

Grayson frowned. “Don’t make it sound ugly. Just do it, and I guarantee your job stays safe.”

I was about to explode.

They kept testing my limits. Now they were squeezing my throat.

My nails dug into my palms. Pain was the only thing keeping me sane.

I forced a smile, teeth gritted. “Fine. I’ll do it.”

Three days later, I walked into the wedding venue with a small bag.

Guests gave me odd looks.

Their invitations had my name as the bride. Now Eloise stood at the altar.

I ignored their stares.

I found a seat, pulled out my phone, and started a livestream.

I aimed the camera at the giant screen behind the altar.

As viewers poured in, Eloise spotted me.

She held a champagne flute, tugging Grayson toward me. “Odette, I’m so touched you came…”

I smirked at her teary eyes. “Already moved? Honey, we’re just getting started.”

“I came to give you a gift.”

The screen displaying their wedding photos went dark.

When it lit back up, it played security footage.

In the video, I was passed out on the couch. Grayson and Eloise were on the floor, going at it.

The banquet hall went silent. Then erupted.

“Jesus, Grayson’s bold. Playing this at his own wedding?”

“Damn, this couple’s wild. Isn’t that his ex-fiancée?”

“No wonder the bride changed…”

Mrs. Harper had been mingling. She turned at the noise. At the sight of the screen, she and her husband

froze.

Eloise’s champagne glass shattered on the floor.

Her face drained of color. She turned to Grayson in despair. “How is this on our wedding screen?! Asher,

what do we do?!”

Grayson’s face turned thunderous.

He yanked out his phone, frantically calling the control room. No answer.

With no choice, Grayson ran to the front and shouted at the technicians. “Cut the power! Kill it now!”

Eloise stood alone amid the guests, surrounded by snickers and leers.

Her breathing grew ragged. Her eyes rolled back. She passed out cold.

“Call an ambulance! The bride’s having an asthma attack!”

The wedding became a circus. No one paid me any attention.

My livestream, meanwhile, was on fire.

“Wait, this is Eloise’s wedding to her first love?”

“That video is insane. Eloise plays the innocent online. Who knew she was that wild?”

“I thought the other girl was the homewrecker? This looks like they were sneaking around behind her back!”

“And while she was asleep? Disgusting…”

It was disgusting.

When I found that footage from my security cam, I threw up for an hour.

I couldn’t believe Grayson and Eloise were that brazen. Not even a hotel room. Right there in my living room

while I was unconscious.

Grayson had no idea I’d set up a hidden camera to film our wedding vlog.

Turned out it was better for catching cheaters than making memories.

The stream grew. Peak viewership hit tens of thousands.

Eloise’s wedding disaster went viral.

When Eloise woke up in the hospital and learned the entire wedding had been streamed, she lost 100,000 followers overnight.

“It was Odette! It had to be her!” she screamed, hurling a vase at the wall. “Who else would have that video?! She’s doing this because I married you, because she hates me that much!”

Grayson could only hold her and soothe her. “I’ve already reported all the posts. People will forget.”

But even as he said it, Grayson knew it wouldn’t blow over.

Especially since Eloise threatened suicide unless he made me pay.
