He froze.
“Bet on what?”
“Whether you were really involved with my wife.”
“If this recording is real, you pay me $500,000.”
“And if it’s fake, I’ll pay you the same amount.”
“Of course, you can refuse.”
“But I can come here today.”
“And I can come back every single day.”
Liam pulled out an agreement.
The terms were clearly written on it.
“This is the agreement.”
“Sign it if you’re willing.”
Brantli glanced at it, his face darkening.
“This is trespassing!”
I looked at him calmly.
“This is housing.”
“Not your private property.”
“I’ve already looked into everything.”
“Over the past two years, Bree has spent nearly $400,000 on you.”
“And that money came from me.”
“I saved every penny of it.”
“I’m not asking for anything excessive.”
“Think carefully.”
“And don’t make me involve your supervisor.”
“Because then this won’t just be about compensation.”
His expression turned cold.
Then he looked at Bree.
It was obvious he was asking her why she had never told him she was married.
But Bree lowered her head.
She didn’t say a word.
Back when I was still at Wildwood Campers, I had already looked into Brantli.
He had always believed Bree was single.
By then, several employees from the nearby floors had gathered around.
Seeing the forensic expert standing beside me, Brantli sneered.
“I won’t sign this agreement!”
“I didn’t do anything.”
“And I won’t admit to something I never did!”
“Get out.”
“Now.”
“Don’t blame me for what happens next!”
He turned to the employees around him.
“What are you all waiting for?”
“Can’t you see someone came here to cause trouble?”
“Get them out!”
“Otherwise, forget about a good performance review this month!”
It was obvious these employees all worked under Brantli.
After hearing him, they reluctantly walked toward us.
One of them pointed toward the exit.
“Man, this isn’t the place for you.”
“You need to leave.”
“You heard him.”
“If you don’t go, we’ll have no choice but to get physical.”
Seeing that, my parents immediately stepped in front of me.
“Someone here destroyed another person’s marriage!”
“We’re only here to get justice!”
“If you touch anyone, we’ll call the police!”
The employees’ expressions changed.
But Brantli immediately shouted again.
“What are you waiting for?!”
“You want me to dock your pay?!”
“Don’t be scared.”
“I’ll take responsibility.”
“Besides, we decide what happens here.”
“If they won’t leave, then get them out!”
The employees still looked unwilling.
But they slowly moved closer.
Just then, two figures arrived.
The moment the employees saw the person leading them, they immediately greeted him.
“Mr. Kent.”
Even Brantli changed his attitude the second he saw him.
The arrogance disappeared.
He became respectful.
I smiled when I saw him.
Before coming here, I already knew Brantli wouldn’t give in that easily.
So I contacted his supervisor beforehand.
Mr. Kent.
I explained everything that had happened.
The moment he heard one of his department managers was involved in something like this, he agreed to let me confront Brantli.
I stepped forward.
“Mr. Kent. Thanks for coming.”
He shook my hand.
Then he turned to Brantli.
“Brantli.”
“I heard about your messy personal life.”
“You’re a department manager.”
“You have dozens of people working under you.”
“If you can’t even manage yourself, what makes you think you’re qualified to manage anyone else?!”
Brantli immediately panicked.
“Mr. Kent, I can explain…”
“Explain what?!”
“Right now, you have two choices.”
“First, sign the agreement and admit what you did.”
“Second, resign on your own!”
