My Sister Stole My Life After Reading the Comments Chapter 08

Very soon, it was time for the midterm exams. Throughout the month before it, Nancy actually behaved herself. But thanks to the comments, I got to know that things hadn’t exactly gone smoothly for her.

Right before we entered the classroom, she looked at me smugly. “Just you wait, Nadia. I’m going to crush you in this exam. If you think you can get into the Quill family, you’re dead wrong! Dream on!”

[That’s right! Nancy has fully leveled up now. Crushing the evil villainess will be a piece of cake!]

[I just hope Nadia doesn’t get stupidly lucky again. As long as she performs normally, there’s no way she can beat Nancy!]

I ignored Nancy.

Even with my past experience, I still prepared thoroughly for the midterm exams. Whoever ranked first this time would get a spot in the competition team. And if anyone placed in the competition, they would have a shot at guaranteed admission into the most prestigious colleges in the country.

I figured that had to be why Nancy was so desperate to prove herself and win back some pride for David and Helen.

The day the exams ended, Eugene invited me over to his place for dinner the following week.

I raised a brow. “Coincidence much? Isn’t that the same day the midterm results come out?”

He smiled. “It is. My parents are flying back that day, and Mr. and Mrs. Quill will be coming over for dinner. Of course, Nancy

will also be there.”

It didn’t take much thinking for me to understand what he was planning. Naturally, I wasn’t going to turn him down. From the very beginning, I’d decided to make Eugene my ally.

The night I went over to Eugene’s house for dinner, I ran into/Nancy. She practically started baring her teeth the moment she saw me. Still, with Eugene’s parents right there, she couldn’t afford to throw a tantrum.

In the middle of dinner, the butler came over to report to Eugene’s parents. “Sir, ma’am, Mr. Eugene’s midterm scores are out, He got 92 out of 100, but he’s still ranked second. First place is 3 points higher at 95.”

The moment he finished, Eugene practically jumped up from his seat. “Is Nadia in first place?”

The butler met his eager gaze and shook his head. “No, sir. Ms. Nancy Quill secured first place.”

For a few seconds, the entire room seemed to freeze. Everyone’s eyes landed on Nancy. She was so excited her whole body was

trembling.

She turned to David and Helen. “Mom, Dad, I did it! I told you I was definitely going to get first place this time!”

The comments exploded.

[This is amazing! Congratulations to Nancy for finally reclaiming her throne!]

[Told you Nancy’s the best!]

David and Helen were a little surprised, but they still praised Nancy. “We really didn’t expect you to actually get first place.”

Eugene’s parents also raised their glasses. “Congratulations, Nancy.”

Just then, Eugene spoke up in disbelief. “How is that possible? Nancy’s always been at the very bottom of the class. Nadia should be the top scorer! What did Nadia get, then?”

The butler looked a little awkward. “Ms. Colson’s score this time was average. She only scored 70 out of 100.”
