He Marked Me, Then Forced Me to Bow to His Mistress Chapter 06
In the days that followed, Grayson buried himself in Daisy’s bed.
During the day, he took her to werewolf realm summits, hunting grounds, and luxury hot spring resorts.
At night, they went at it without restraint.
After nearly half a month of this nonstop routine, Grayson attended an Alpha Summit.
“Have you heard? The Lycan King’s daughter who was lost for 28 years in the Southern Territory has been
found.”
“The House of Alaric? The one with Alpha Kings in every generation? To find this daughter, the Lycan King and his wife never had another child.”
“Now that she’s back, they are throwing a grand feast costing billions of gold coins.”
Nearby, Daisy scoffed, unable to hide her jealousy.
“Lost for twenty-eight years?”
She rolled her eyes. “She was probably passed around by rogues the entire time.”
“Something that filthy is still being treated like a treasure. The Lycan King must have lost his mind.”
Grayson frowned. For the first time, he found her attitude unbearably distasteful.
Daisy had been the Alpha King’s mistress for only a few weeks.
Yet she already seemed to have forgotten the days when she survived through begging and theft as an
omega.
The pride and dignity that had made her reject his pursuit in the beginning had vanished beneath endless
jewelry, expensive gifts, and luxury.
Now she had the audacity to insult a Lycan Princess.
A strange feeling of disgust rose inside him.
The thrill that had drawn him to her in the first place was long gone.
With the haze of novelty gone, his thoughts drifted back to Layla.
They had grown up together in an orphanage near the pack border.
If she had nothing but a single piece of candy, she’d break it in half so they could share.
She never badmouthed anyone behind their back.
Even after he became Alpha King, she never went on vengeful spending sprees.
She kept the Wolf Citadel running flawlessly.
She had always understood his burdens, supported him through every hardship, and stood by his side.
Grayson pressed a hand against his chest. A dull ache spread through his heart.
He finally remembered the honeymoon he had promised her.
She had spent over six months eagerly anticipating that trip.
And with a single sentence, he had destroyed it.
Her expression at the airport suddenly came back to him.
The shock, the disbelief, and the despair in her eyes hit him all over again. A sharp pain twisted in his chest.
For the first time, he truly grasped the depth of her pain that day.
A fierce wave of guilt and unease washed over him.
Then another realization struck.
Ever since the banquet hall incident, he hadn’t heard a single word about her. Not once.
Pulling out his phone, he called his Beta.
“That watch I picked up at auction a few days ago-deliver it to the Wolf Citadel for Layla.”
Then he paused. A sense of unease lingered.
A moment later, he changed his mind.
“Forget it. I’ll go myself.” His tone softened.
“She pulled that fake miscarriage stunt at the banquet. Probably still holding a grudge.”
“It’s been long enough. She should’ve cooled off by now.”
“I’ll go and smooth things over. Sweet-talk her a little.”
Nearby, Daisy had heard every word. Panic flashed through her eyes.
She immediately grabbed his arm. “Darling, you said you only love me.”
Her voice rose sharply. “I won’t let you go see that slut.”
The temperature around Grayson seemed to drop instantly.
His expression darkened. “What did you just call her?”
Daisy froze.
Grayson’s voice turned cold.
“If anyone deserves to be called a slut, it’s us who do. We were the ones who wronged her.”
He shot her a warning look. “Don’t say another word about her.”
Daisy’s heart nearly stopped.
Seeing that anger wouldn’t work, she immediately switched tactics.
Her eyes reddened. Her lips trembled pitifully.
“Please don’t be angry.”
She dropped her gaze, looking pitiful. “I only said that because she humiliated me before.”
“And she threatened to kill my parents.”
“I was upset and spoke without thinking.”
She tugged gently on his sleeve. “Please don’t go see her, okay?”
Normally, that helpless expression would have softened Grayson instantly.
Now, he saw the guilt in her eyes. He remembered every time she had tried to keep him away from Layla.
A troubling suspicion began to take shape. Something was off.
Before he could question her further, his phone suddenly rang. He answered immediately.
His Beta’s frantic voice exploded through the line.
“Alpha King! I checked the Wolf Citadel. There’s no one there. Not even a single servant.”
The urgency in the Beta’s voice made Grayson’s expression change.
“The place looks completely abandoned. Based on the state of things, no one’s lived there for at least half a
month.”
A chill crawled down Grayson’s spine.
The Beta continued. “I questioned the warriors stationed nearby.”
“None of them have seen Luna Queen. Nobody knows where she went.”
