By the time I got to the office, I was already cursing up a storm in my head.
The project’s promotional video was due out today.
The set was ready, the brand reps were waiting, and our in-house model was nowhere to be found.
I frowned. “If we can’t find her, go to Plan B and use a different model. What’s with everyone just standing
around?”
No one dared to breathe. Not a single person would even meet my eyes.
“Miss Montgomery… the model was personally approved by Mr. Harrington. It’s Aurora.”
“And this morning, Mr. Harrington called himself to say she’d be arriving late…”
In the past, no matter how far Dominic played around, he had never flaunted it publicly.
But this time, he was humiliating me in front of everyone.
The looks around me, both open and subtle, made me uncomfortable.
Anger churned violently through my veins.
More than anything, I wanted everyone to know the truth. My engagement to Dominic had already fallen
apart a long time ago.
But until the engagement was officially called off, I had to suck it up-for the stock price.
1 exhaled slowly.
“Right. I remembered now. I had Aurora deliver some documents to Mr. Harrington.”
“Switch to another model for now.”
The employees exchanged uneasy looks.
“All the other models are out on location shoots…”
Even the brand representative panicked.
“Miss Montgomery, with a face and body like yours, why are we even looking for a model?”
“You are the model. Please, you have to save us here!”
Thankfully, Rhett hadn’t left any marks on my skin last night.
The brand had provided a silk slip dress-a little on the revealing side.
I got my hair and makeup done, put on the jewelry, and stepped into the studio.
Throughout the shoot, the photographer couldn’t stop gushing
“Miss Montgomery, you’re absolutely stunning.”
“Have you ever thought about modeling professionally?”
The tension evaporated. Soon, the studio was filled with laughter.
Until someone gasped. “Mr. Harrington… what brings you here?”
