I Saw The Comments Calling Me Evil And Realized I Was Pregnant Chapter 10
On the day our baby turned one month old, Nash said he wanted to take me somewhere.
He left the baby with the nanny and drove me out of the city.
Whenever I asked where we were going, he kept it a secret.
The car eventually came to a stop in front of an old, run-down apartment building.
I froze completely.
It was our old rental apartment.
“Why did you bring me here?” I asked, utterly confused.
Nash took my hand and led me upstairs.
The moment he pushed the door open, I stood there in absolute shock.
The entire apartment was packed with durians and strawberries.
The walls were covered with photos-our first meeting, me lying to him at the hospital, him working construction and running deliveries, me returning the durian, learning to cook, him chasing me to the airport… Under each photo was a line of text.
[The first time Khloe lied to me, she didn’t even dare look me in the eye.]
[The first time Khloe called me a loser, she secretly bought me a lumbar support brace the next day.]
[The first time Khloe said she felt bad for me, I hid in the bathroom and cried.]
[The first time Khloe returned the durian, I knew she was starting to change.]
[The first time Khloe said she didn’t want me to work too hard, I decided I would marry no one but her in this lifetime.]
As I read through them, tears streamed down my face uncontrollably.
“When did you put all of this together?”
“After I got my memory back, I had someone gather everything,” he walked over to stand right in front of me, “Khloe, I didn’t fall in love with you just because you treated me well. I fell in love with you because you are you.”
“What?”
“You’re vain, greedy, and short-tempered, but you’re also kind, soft-hearted, and always hide your warmth behind sharp words. You made up that fifty thousand dollars because you never felt safe growing up, and you assumed money was the only way to have a good life.”
“You yelled at me and hit me because you were terrified that my kindness to you wasn’t real, and you wanted to test my limits.”
“You actually understood all that?”
“I didn’t back then, but I figured it out later,” he took hold of my hand, “Khloe, will you marry me?”
He pulled out a ring from his pocket and got down on one knee.
“This time it isn’t about an agreement, and it isn’t a shotgun marriage. This is just me, Nash, completely and sincerely wanting to marry you, Khloe.”
I was crying too hard to speak, so I could only nod my head vigorously.
He slipped the ring onto my finger, stood up, and kissed me.
[He proposed! He actually proposed!]
[This is amazing!]
[This is way too sweet!]
The wedding took place a month later.
It was incredibly grand.
Karter personally blessed our marriage, and countless business tycoons and celebrities attended.
I was wearing a wedding dress and high heels. My hands were shaking from nerves.
Nash stood waiting for me at the other end of the red carpet.
I took one step after another toward him.
When I reached his side, he took my hand in his. “Don’t be nervous. I’m right here.”
Exactly the same as the ones he said in the delivery room.
I smiled. “Okay.”
After the wedding concluded, we went to the clinic for my postpartum checkup.
The doctor assured us that everything was perfectly fine.
Leaving the hospital, we walked past a fruit stand.
The owner spotted me and called out, “Khloe! Your man’s getting you another durian! A fresh batch just arrived today!”
Nash walked inside and bought one immediately.
I tugged on his arm, “Can you stop buying one every single time we pass by? There’s no room left in the fridge at home.”
“If there’s no room, we’ll buy a new fridge.”
“…Oh, so you think you’re special just because you’re rich?”
“Yeah. That’s the point.” He smiled. “Otherwise, how am I supposed to support you and our son?”
[Ah, even their daily life is so sweet!]
[I want a boyfriend exactly like him!]
[Wake up.]
