They Took My Ticket, I Destroyed Their Lives Chapter 05
The air turned to ice instantly.
That fake, “concerned” mask on Vivian’s face froze as if someone had hit the pause button.
Jayden was completely stunned, and after a few seconds of silence, a flash of “rispetto” died and turned into pure rage at being played.
“Kira!”
“Are you out of your mind?! Do you hear the garbage coming out of your mouth? A private jet? Why don’t you say you’re taking a rocket while you’re at it!”
“You couldn’t get a ticket, fine, but don’t tell these ‘balle’ just to protect your ego. It only makes me lose more respect for you!”
Vivian snapped out of it and nudged Jayden, her voice going soft and sugary: “Jayden, don’t be mad… Kira… she’s probably just so upset and desperate that she’s lashing out… let’s just try to understand her…”
Jayden’s eyes were full of disappointment and disprezzo: “Understand? How can I understand this?” “Kira, I never realized you were this vain, this irrational!”
“A private jet? You’re barking up the wrong tree! Do you even know what that entails? You spent three days fighting for a damn train seat!”
I looked at his angry face, then at Vivian’s poorly hidden smirk.
It was a waste of breath talking to these two.
“Whether I’m barking or not, you’re about to find out.”
I didn’t wait for a reply.
I walked toward the East Gate, where a temporary restricted zone had been set.
up.
The area was cleared out, and a high-end private bird was idling quietly on the tarmac.
I walked toward the stairs without looking back.
The Captain hurried down, giving me a respectful nod: “Principessa Kira, everything is green. We’re ready to wheels-up. Mr. Rosetti sends his regards and says you should get some rest on the way.”
I nodded: “Thank you, Captain Lee. I appreciate the hustle.”
Every word of that conversation drifted right back to those two.
Jayden’s face wasn’t just pale; it looked like his whole world had been shattered.
His mouth hung open, his eyes wide, as if he was seeing me for the first time.
Vivian was a sight to behold—her carefully made-up face was twisted in shock and pure, unadulterated envy.
She stared at the jet, then at me, her fingers digging into the fabric of her expensive coat.
“Kira! What… what is this?!” Jayden finally found his voice, though it was shaking. He lunged forward a few steps, nearly hitting the barrier. “This jet… they called you Principessa? Who… who the hell are you?”
He was rambling, too many questions to count.
I looked down at him from the top of the stairs, watching the pathetic panic on his face.
Just minutes ago, he was standing tall, calling me a liar.
“It is what it looks like,” I said, my voice cold. “As for who I am—that’s above your pay grade.”
I looked him dead in the eye and dropped the hammer: “One more thing. You’ve been receiving the Rosetti Family Foundation Scholarship for three years. Consider it ‘finito.’ As of this month, it’s been cut off.”
