They Took My Ticket, I Destroyed Their Lives Chapter 07

The dorm door swung open, and my two roommates walked in. Seeing me there, they froze for a second before trading a look.

“Oh, you’re back?” One of them curled her lip, her voice loud enough for me to hear.

“Some people really hide it well, don’t they? Acting so ‘pulito’ all this time.”

The other one chimed in with fake sympathy: “Exactly. Poor Vivian was so worried about her, even offered her a place to stay. Turns out she didn’t need it at all—she’s got her ‘ways,’ right?”

They laughed together, like they were sharing some grand secret.

My heart didn’t sink from fear; it sank from the sheer schifo of their tactics.

I didn’t have to guess—this was Jayden and Vivian’s work.

If they couldn’t hit me in the front, they’d try to ruin my “onore” from the shadows.

Just then, my phone rang. It was the Dean of Students.

The voice on the other end was cold and distant: “Ms. Rosetti? We’ve received an anonymous complaint. The ‘Dean’s List’ selection is being put on hold. Please come to the office Monday morning.”

I listened calmly and said only four words: “I have nothing to hide.”

I hung up and actually smiled. This was the best they could do?

A few days later, the awards ceremony for top students was held in the Great Hall. I showed up in a simple shirt and slacks, sitting in the section for the nominees.

The second I sat down, eyes hit me from every direction—curiosity, “disprezzo,” and pure “schadenfreude”. Vivian and Jayden were there, too, sitting right in the front row.

Vivian had worn a faded old dress, her eyes full of fake “pain” as if she couldn’t

bear to see my fall from grace. Jayden sat beside her, back straight, looking like a man who had been “tradito” by a lover.

They weren’t there for a ceremony; they were there for a “processo”—an execution of my character.

The ceremony went on, and finally, they reached the Dean’s List. When they called my name, there was a smattering of weak applause mixed with loud whispers. I stood up and walked toward the stage.

Just as I was about to take the certificate from the Dean, a voice cut through the room.

“Wait a second!”

Everyone turned. Jayden was on his feet, holding a USB drive.

“Dean Harrison! I don’t believe Kira Rosetti has the right to be on that list! Her character is ‘fango’!”

The cameras and eyes swung to him. Vivian stood up too, playing the part of the heartbroken friend. “Jayden, don’t… let’s just give Kira some dignity…”

“No! I won’t stand by and watch this school’s honor be stained!” Jayden brushed her off and marched toward the multimedia desk, shoving the USB into the slot.

The faculty looked confused, but before they could act, the screen lit up. It was the stalker photo of me and my father.

“Look at this, everyone!”
