I Saw The Comments Calling Me Ugly And Jumped Him In The Shower Chapter 08
[What the hell is going on?! How did Cassius end up sleeping with Delilah? What about Jade?]
[Relax. During this business trip, Cassius and Jade got a lot closer. But after realizing her health wasn’t great, he was worried about hurting her, so he used Delilah for practice.]
[Using that kind of thing for practice doesn’t count as pure, does it?]
[Are you serious? Cassius had zero experience. Practicing with someone else so he wouldn’t hurt Jade is exactly why he’s still pure.]
[Besides, who says a ML can only ever be with the FL? He’s married. Having experience is completely normal.]
[Don’t misunderstand me. I’m just worried Delilah will shamelessly use this to cling to Cassius. That’d be a disaster.]
I rolled over and looked at Cassius’s sleeping face.
Part of me wanted to pry open his skull and figure out what any of this actually meant.
As I gazed at him, I found myself thinking back to the time we first met.
Back then, my parents had just gotten divorced, and neither of them wanted me. It was New Year’s Eve, and I had nowhere to go.
Cassius happened to pass by and found me crouching alone in the rain. He’d asked me to spend New Year’s with him.
His family was all abroad, and he wasn’t particularly close to them either. We had a meal together, and I fell for this man—cold on the outside, but warm at heart.
Maybe back then, I was just too desperate to grab onto a lifeline.
Three years of knowing each other, one year of being together. Apart from last night, when he barged back for no apparent reason, he had hardly ever lost control.
I didn’t know if something had triggered him, or if—as the commenters said—he was just using me for practice.
Whatever the reason, this kind of invisible, intangible relationship couldn’t go on.
I let out a long breath. Then I picked up my phone and scheduled a divorce filing.
When Cassius woke up, the house was unusually quiet.
Still half asleep, he reached toward the other side of the bed. Empty.
After getting dressed, he headed downstairs.
Delilah was sitting alone on the couch, staring into space.
When she looked up and saw him, the rims of her eyes were slightly red.
But she still managed a small smile.
Then she said, “Cassius, let’s get divorced.”
